In the South Gissar region, the lower part of the Upper Cenomanian, Tagarin horizon (тагаринский горизонт) is composed of gray limestones, sandstones, and clays up to 25-45 m thick.

In the Dushanbe region, the Tagarin horizon (Тагаринский rорv.зонт) of the Upper Cenomanian is greenish-gray sandstones with layers of limestone and siltstones, occasionally clays (40-60 m).

In the Kafirnigan district, the Tagarin horizon of the upper Cenomanian has a three-part structure: at the bottom are limestones and clays, in the middle part - variegated argillites and clays, at the top - organogenic limestones. The strength of the horizon is 45-50 m.

In the Vakhsh district, , the Tagarin horizon of the upper Cenomanian has in the Vakhsh district a structure similar to that described for the Kafirnigan district, its strength is 80-135 m.

In the Darvaz district, Tagarin horizon (агаринскому горизонтам), which make up the upper Cenomanian sub-stage, are related to three suites: Rovkin Fm (ровикинская) (gray sandstones with layers of limestone, 50 - 100 m), Budalyk Fm (будалыксю-tя) (reddish conglomerates, sandstones and aleurolites, 20-200 m), Izhudarin Fm (иджударинская) (gray biogenic limestones, 10-50 m).

In the Karategin region, Tagarin horizon (агаринскому горизонты) - interbedded limestones, sandstones, and clays (40-50 m).

Lithology Pattern:
Sandy limestone
